SIRAS Firmware Update 1.3 Release

At Teledyne FLIR, we are committed to providing you with the best performance for your SIRAS system. We are excited to announce the release of firmware update version 1.3. This firmware update includes all previous updates and introduces several critical enhancements. All SIRAS owners are required to update to firmware 1.3, which includes all prior updates and the following critical updates:

Realtime MSX®

Improves thermal image quality and provides critical, time saving information

Fully Automatic Radio

Improves signal quality in areas with potential radio interference, may offer extended radio range, and allows multiple ground control radios to be collocated

User-Readable Logging

Simplifies flight log data access and includes AirData™ UAV and DroneLogbook™ flight management software compatibility

RTH and Obstacle Avoidance

Adds ability to turn off obstacle avoidance during RTH to increase airframe speed

Altitude Accuracy and Maximum

Improves altitude (MSL) accuracy and hold, plus enabling flight up to 1,000 m AGL

Failure to update your firmware will void any warranty associated with your SIRAS aircraft.

UPDATE SIRAS FIRMWARE

The firmware update process should only take a few minutes. 

1. Download the 1.3 firmware from the SIRAS Support Center.
2. Please read the firmware release notes included in the 1.3 firmware download and the SIRAS User Manual for firmware update instructions.
